I'm not entirely sure Zynga views their players as customers, just commodities. I'd love to see a breakdown of where Zynga gets their money. I know there are people who sink money into their games, but I'd imagine they're a minority? Anyone have any numbers one way or the other?
The "clear the board" game is still in Puzzle Quest 2. It is the mini game you play when you learn a new spell from a NPC (though I've only encountered a goblin witch in the orc floor that teaches spells). Also, I seriously hope they make a patch to fix the 'dumb' equipping and that someone...

As someone who DOES live here, it is only ~30 days to get your FOID, which is good for 10 years. Once you have it, the standard waiting period applies, and the system is set up in such a way that the seller calls the number and gets an "approved," normally...
I love your humor. It is the thick, delicious pudding-icing on a sliver of the crap that life piles on you. I probably don't want to know how much of your tales are factual, because if it is more than ~5% that's just depressing...
Also, you make me even more grateful that I took a promotion...
I found this really dull. No real personality showed through, there didn't seem to be any energy or chemistry, and Sasha Gray really didn't seem like she wanted to be there, but some of her friends roped her into it.
But how are they supposed to be getting interest-free microloans when I no longer have some weird amount of points left over after turning my base 10 money into weird pseudo base 8ish points!
On the other hand, "Spend all my points on things I actually might have some use for so I don't have...
I loved PSO on the Dreamcast (and got the Gamecube version [not that the Wii lets you use the online functionality of GC games ><]) but just couldn't bring myself to get PSU. Seems like I made a good choice? I suppose I must drown my sorrow in Borderlands... maybe future DLC will let me raise...
More or less this. I thought it was mildly amusing at first, then it started getting not so funny, then the whole miscarriage arc popped up and between that and the "I decide if the comic is to be funny or serious, so eff off" incident I decided that I'd rather not read it anymore. I mean...
Commodore 64. "Rocky's Boots" logic/pre-programming educational game. I still remember my frustration in trying to make an automatic alligator seeking/kicking machine/program to protect the orange cursor.

I'd like to see the numbers run for women who break up with guys for being football/basketball/baseball/NASCAR fans. I'd imagine a larger trend would emerge; to whit "women who break up with men for having hobbies and interests other than aforementioned women". Personally, I think having...
The problem being that, even when we self-police, even when we use our best rhetoric and are nothing but civil and professional, people like this will continue to ignore the valid, well-reasoned counter arguments if even one angry person calls them out for being the self-administrating colon...
That was the first thing I thought when I saw this poll, being a sprightly 31 years of age.
*shakes fist* You durned kids, get off mah internets!
Seriously though, I plan to keep gaming as long as it stays fun and I have the time to support it, though table-top RPGs have been vexing me...

"What are the upsides to gaming?
Video games have come a long way since Pac-Man debuted 20 years ago. But over the years video games have gotten a bad rap for...
In other news, http://www.sj-r.com/news/x370518733/Institute-to-teach-librarians-how-to-branch-out-from-books. Allow me to paraphrase: the University of Illinois, a respected institute of higher learning, feels that in order to fill the needs of more consumers of information libraries need to...
I just love how she deleted a vast swathe of comments across all her posts, claiming they were obscene and mean (including a few polite anecdotes about what happens to the children of overbearing but well-meaning mothers when the children finally escape her grasp), when most of the ones she...
