So Episode 7 apparently is pretty damn good

Got to watch it earlier today. It's okay. My main problem is that there are so many references in so many ways to the original 1977-film, that it becomes distracting. It's almost more of a showpiece for Star Wars nostalgia than an actual film. But it certainly is a lot better than the prequels...

    Dealing with Unemployment

I've been in a similar position as you, and I would say that one important thing would be to get a job, any job. Even if you're overqualified or feel that your degree is going to waste, I think employers look at a CV and see it as a quality that you have been working, regardless of what kind...

That one genre you will always HATE

I like most genres. The only type of game I've never liked are fighting games. Just never got into them, and I'm pretty bad as well. Although in uni I used to enjoy watching my friends play matches against each other.

    DELETED

Absolutely. Dark Souls was my favorite game of this generation. I haven't seen any of the preview footage, and some of the things I've been hearing are a bit worrying... I don't really mind if they streamline it to draw in new players, that's actually a good thing. As long as the spirit of...

Poll: In your lifetime , how many consoles have you owned at launch?

Pretty much been a pc-gamer my whole life until the current gen. I've got a PS3, Wii, and Wii U, but bought them all a while after launch, the Wii U quite recently in fact. The only console I bought on launch was the 3DS, which I bought maybe a couple of weeks after it launched in europe...

So Starbound just hit $1 million

Well, I've been keeping an eye on this project for a while now, and though I haven't pre-ordered it, it does have a lot of elements that I think this specific group of gamers find extremely appealing. Open randomly generated world for the player to explore, space travel, the 2D adventure style...

    Poll: Your preferred RPG "Archetype?"

I like to mix it up and play all sort of characters, but my favorite would have to be a pure mage. Nothing quite as satisfying as turning heavily armored opponents into ash with a few spells. I also like the idea of "pursuit of knowledge". I don't mind saying I love playing a mage who is evil or...

    Lost 3DS XL Dilema

Depends. I upgraded to an XL because the original was too small for my hands and hurt to use after long playing sessions. For me it was absolutely worth it due to this, but if you're comfortable using the original you'll have to ask how important a bigger screen is. It's nice, but perhaps not...

    Lost 3DS XL Dilema

Wow, that really is too bad, condolences. I too have the ambassador program, and while getting the exclusive GBA games was really neat, I do think it is a bit strange that Nintendo won't release them on the store. Sadly I don't think there's really any way to rectify this problem due to...

Now that 2012 is almost over...

Not a great year to be honest, but there were some good titles at the end of the year. Been playing older games mostly this year. 3. Journey 2. XCOM: Enemy Unknown 1. Far Cry 3 Honorable mentions to Hitman: Absolution and Dragon's Dogma.

    Thoughts on Farcry 3?

I'm really loving it. I've cleared the first island, at the moment I'm just killing time doing the side stuff until I want to head over to the second island. The thing is, most of the major faults I can find about the game are ones that tend to be inherent to open world games anyway. I'm...

Far Cry 3: So close, yet so far.

Far Cry 3 is a lot more accessible than 2. There are many more options for fast travel. Also, if you save before attacking an enemy outpost, if you die you'll start from where you saved instead of spawning at a safe point.

Far Cry 3: So close, yet so far.

I'm really enjoying Far Cry 3 so far, but then again I enjoyed Far Cry 2. The game is at times a bit easy and money would have had a lot more meaning if activating the towers only unlocked the weapons for you to buy, instead of giving them to you for free. One of the best things about the game...
