While there are many fine suggestions in this thread the best has yet to be mentioned: Heroes 3. The greatest turn-based strategy game ever with beautifully aged graphics.

My album of the year must be Portal of I by Ne Obliviscaris. A few listens should explain why better than I ever could.

It will always be either Heroes 3 or Warcraft 3 for me. Can't decide between the two but there's not really any other candidates.
