I agree. People who have only just started playing already expect to be hated against, but it brings it to another level altogether when people who think they're better than F2P just because they spent money on the game have a way to automatically filter out the "noobs"

It's clear to me that Duke was a pretty big cash grab. I played a friends copy, and that was enough to tell me it wasn't worth my money. But I thought the interest had waned sufficiently as to make the release evoke any enthusiasm, anyway.

You could have a small, privately owned computer place build something flexible for you. Most of the shops I know are happy to build PC's that are upgradeable, but labor factors in, too. You'll end up paying a bit more, but it's worth it.
