Try Project Sylpheed for 360, Yahtzee.
The story in the game really sucks (as it is written by Square-Enix) but the gameplay is pure action aerial combat.
The only thing I didn't like about it was the arbitrary time limit, but it didn't bother me that much since it only got in the way once.

Played for about 4 hours today, and this is definitely one of the best online shooter's I've managed to get a hold of.
BF series, CS(GunGame), L4D, Gears 2(Horde), and TF2 are on the top of my list. 1943 is a great addition especially for 15 bucks.

It was too long; if they had ended it at a certain point, a potential sequel would've been amazing, but as it stands, they wanted to finish the plot and did a pretty bad job with a lackluster ending.

VII was NOT innovative. they just scaled it to 3D. it was essentially still a 2D game (and i'd even argue that the backdrops were 2D, thus it is still a 2D game).

Link is a prime example of a silent protagonist done WRONG. Claude from GTAIII is a much better example of how a character can be silent but still compell.
worst protagonist in my opinion is Leon from RE4. He spits out too much unneeded dialogue and would've served the game better as a mute...
