I agree with pretty much everything in this post. Opeth's album "Damnation" may not be as jazzy as you're looking for but it's technical, complicated and gorgeous. Very very highly recommended. When playing an RPG, using first-person makes you lose immersion? Weird, I always find the opposite breaks the 4th wall. Can't do 3rd person when first-person is available more times then not.
