So this came out of nowhere.
As pretty much the only Star Wars property I genuinely love I'm very happy about this. Now to make all my friends play it!
Huh, I always found when I was feeling very depressed pot just made me whitey. Alcohol seems like a more logical choice although I know a fair few people who use pot as a crutch so it must differ from person to person. Furthermore Erin being too drunk to do anything would kind of kill the comic...
Yeah I'm willing to give a game a lot of time if it has something in there that interests me. Wasn't blown away by the first Mass Effect at first but the fact there was a gay relationship in the game kept me interested as it was untrodden ground for games, got to Virmire and now I'm in love with...
I just picked up Chrono Cross and, as a big fan of Chrono Trigger (my first JRPG!), I'm absolutely loving it! My only issue is that I understand it has a ridiculous amount of characters and it's impossible to get them on one playthrough. I don't know if I'll be playing the game a second time...
Kanji from Persona 4 and Wallace Wells are pertty god damn excellent characters, although Kanji is pretty poorly handled due to the writers refusing to make an actual decision on his sexuality, not that him having an ambiguous sexuality couldn't have been discussed in an interesting manner, but...
Yeah, Shakespeare was quite good at allowing his characters to have a good old freak out when it was needed. As you say, I think modern society has got to this point where real emotion is seen as weak, which is quite ridiculous. It's a shame that very few video games explore trauma any other way...
Yes! This annoys me. It seems that it's almost impossible to have a "depressed" character who isn't just a grizzle jawed veteran who's stupidly stoic. As soon as you try to show someone reacting realistically to trauma they are deemed "whiny". An example of this that really annoys me is Hope...
I've been replaying Persona 4 again. I'm so excited for Persona 5. Please please let Atlus be ok. Please. I've just ordered Persona 2 and Digital Devil Saga. Atlus are so unique and wonderful, the game industry would lose something great if they lose them.
I've never come for the voice actor, but I played a good deal more Dragon Age II than I really wanted to purely because Gideon Emery as Fenris. That voice....
See I'm sorta thinking about getting a Vita but I honestly can't really justify it. I got Persona 4 on the PS2 and fell in love HARD with it and am desperate to play Golden, which is obviously a Vita exclusive, so I'm tempted to try and pick up a second hand Vita somewhere. However, I'm not sure...
Hard.... this was the first generation I was really "aware" about gaming and was vaguely following what was going on. I actually spent a lot of this generation looking back at older games but there have been some fantastic games this year so let's give it a go:
1) Fallout: New Vegas...
While it would never, ever happen, I think a case could be made for an interesting game told from the point of view of a concentration camp officer or soldier and use it as a tool to investigate the dehumanising effects of "working" in that sort of environment and about the tactics the Nazis...
