I suggest The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson (I'm pretty sure thats his name anyway). Generally decent plot that focuses mainly on the main character Kaladin, but there is a side plot involving a woman named Shallon. I give it 4.5/5

Generally, I play on the hardest difficulty just to get a feel for the game (makes sense to me). If I like it, I'll then turn down the difficulty for the sake of actually paying attention to the story rather than the combat/fighting. If its REALLY good, I'll see if it has online and play that...
