My oldest is probably the Mario/Duck Hunt cartridge. As far as floppies go I still have: Might & Magic: Darkside/Clouds of Xeen Where in the World/US is Carmen Sandiego Mortal Kombat (yes for pc - awesome multiplayer memories!)

Gosh, I played Soul Reaver till the damned disc burned up. Such a great mix of combat and platforming/puzzle solving.

Sadly, the pointy-clicky genre reach it's zenith and subsequent death after Sam & Max: Hit the Road, DotT. I still miss those gems, and the memories of childhood innocence that is conjured up by those titles. No game will ever come close...ever.

I've experienced all of these issues as well, and some. I would have to agree that Skyrim needed more polish (as did the patch).

I rolled a Thief out of the gate and have loved the lil' guy. It is kinda hard not to be a hero of the people in this kind of game, though, regardless of how you play. No matter how many innocent, downtrodden citizens you steal from (or feast on the corpse of) you still always seem to come...

My thoughts exactly. While I can't attest to Freespace- Tachyon: The Fringe was the end all for space combat in my eyes (and not only for the fantastic voice work).

From what I understand, Skyrim can not and will not use all 8. The cap for the game is 4.
