I have an annoying issue I'm struggling with, I can't seem to get together with myself on what race I should play, or what skills I should focus. I know that you can master everything, but that is just, boring. if i play a theif, then it's staying as a thief, as an example. I'm a bit of a roleplayer, so my character should have some kind of affection, like good or evil, and what goals he have to achieve, become evilshly rich, or become a hero of the people.

If you got any ideas, here's what my characters are so faar:
Breton, focused on conjuring magic, alteration, and uses conjured weapons and destruction for offense, it is fun and challenging, but I got bored of it for almost no reason. never got any nice mage items after becoming arch-mage, bought the best house and jada jada, feels like I dont progress anywhere, and it's only level 32.

War-priest, Imperial, focuses on restoration and One handed. Got boring very fast, all he does is hit with his one hand, and spam healing magic. This was my first character and I hoped that the restoration spells and alteration spells would be as fleshed out as in oblivion, but I was wrong. It's level 25.

I love the skyrim world, can't wait to explore what I got left wich is, ALOT. But I want to figure out a cool, fun or interesting character to explore Skyrim with.

Does any of you got any helpfull tips on how to create a character?

I rolled a Thief out of the gate and have loved the lil' guy.

It is kinda hard not to be a hero of the people in this kind of game, though, regardless of how you play.
No matter how many innocent, downtrodden citizens you steal from (or feast on the corpse of) you still always seem to come out on top.

That being said, you will instantly become the richest man in all of Tamriel's history and soon find that there is nothing to spend that coin on.

I currently have four characters on the go at the moment:
Race/Class: Dunmer Battlemage.
Skills: Destruction, Conjuration, Heavy Armour, One Handed (Axe)
Affiliations: Indifferent to the civil war, joined Mages college, worships daedra.
Play style: Played as a noble of House Redoran with an interest in the magical arts. Chivalrous to a fault. Refuses to break the law.
Race/Class: Khajiit Assassin.
Skills: Sneak, Lockpick, Archery, Alchemy (poisons)
Affiliations: Indifferent to the civil war, joined Thieves guild and Dark Brotherhood. Nightingale.
Play style: Unscrupulous psychopath who takes too much pleasure from his work. If you don't get seen you can't get caught.
Race/Class: Nord Tribesman.
Skills: Light Armour, Two Handed (Axes), Armourer.
Affiliations: Staunch Stormcloak, joined Companions, werewolf.
Play style: Unlettered, thick skulled tribal who is closer to Forsworn than Stormcloak. Savage. Charges in to deal with problems head on, regardless of consequences or odds.
Race/Class: Breton Knight.
Skills: Heavy Armour, One Handed (swords), Armourer, Speech
Affiliations: Loyal Imperial subject and Blade.
Play style: Was Hannibal Lector-like sociopath and vampire, however now cured and has pledged his life to the Blades to atone for once being a vamp.
The trick is not to think you're only going to do one playthrough. You are, as you say, a roleplayer, not just someone who plays roleplay games (yes, there is a difference). This means you'll inevitably have multiple character concepts in mind, and will equally inevitably run into in-game scenarios that make you think "hey, my character's gonna do this, but it'd be cool to have my next character do that!".

Bottom line just roll with whatever takes you at the moment, and be secure in the knowledge that you will, by level 20, have another character in mind you want to try out.

Ofcourse, I am aware of that. But I meant more like, "go around in fancy clothing and laughing at the poor"-kind of rich.

Very helpfull, thank you.
