There is something that bugged me after finishing SC2 and then going back and doing the alternate missions.
It seems the game goes and shifts environment and setting just to cater for the choice you made and gives you repercussions you can live with for your first intended choice.

I recently finished Knytt, which Yahtzee says has the same idea of exploration as SOTC has.
