I'll admit to being tone deaf as well. And I do miss the games...I wonder if I can still buy a copy for XP.
I think I've played through all except...3 and 4. I got stuck on 3, horribly.
Still have my copy of Morrowind. Would be nice if they did for Daggerfall what they did for Arena, though.
And Majora's Mask, since we never had the hardware thingy for playing it with my N64.
I currently can't get myself to go play my 360 copy of Oblivion. Once I get a PC copy and can mod it....
Morrowind, I could play without mods. I'm just running graphic replacers, a tweak to the levelling system, and a little house anyways. And I'm still amused over the ghost free papers.
I still have maps of the tech tree from that.
Older games...the first Myst, where I'd just wander around looking at everything, and Ocarina of Time, where I first learned to despise water temples.
I'd only keep the DB, myself. The Morrowind transport system was more realistic...and I kept missing mark and recall on Oblivion.
But I still remember sitting there in a hidden library in Vivec, digging through the notes and then just sitting there in shock. That's about when my char decided...
Ahh, Zelda's chickens. That was a funny way to die. Also, getting rear-ended by an allied grunt's ghost when he was going full boost on Halo 2.
Favorite ways to kill...hmm, certainly no-scoping someone from a few feet away on Halo 3, jumping someone and jamming the hidden blade into their...

I've had the most enjoyment with AoE2 and Warcraft 2. Most of my family would sit downstairs playing AoE2 over our LAN, or watch each other play and argue over whether to train more archers or keep a cavalry force for killing siege weaponry.

That was good. I know I tested my hidden blade out on the beggars on occasion. The combat certainly could be more fun with the short sword-though I think my utter favorite move was running, jumping into a guard, and burying the hidden blade in their neck.
But I think I'll get a lot of play...
Completing the main quest and not being able to kill almost everything would have bothered me more. Being able to kill a deity should say something about your prowess.
Oblivion's level-scaling does bother me, as did the main quest. I played as an Agent my first time through, and had to be...
