I don't understand why this is a big deal. I don't see how the character being naked has any bearing on the voice actress playing her, besides the fact that they look similar. It'd be like Andy Serkis getting upset over whatever Weta digital may or may not have rendered under Gollum's loincloth.

You could always make a separate world and trigger hardmode there. It'd be a shame to skip it entirely, that's where the bulk of the new content is.
