Why has noone said Kefka yet? Noone messes with the insane clown jester dude. He poisoned an entire city because he felt like it. He is probably the only Final Fantasy villain that succeeded in destroying the world. (Take that, Sephiroth fanboys!) He also has an awesome laugh.

Seconded. Earthbound is one of my all time favourite games. Its so delightfuly quirky! Another one of my favourite games which I would call a cult classic is Chrono Trigger. A lot of people love this game and a lot more will now that the DS version is out.
