This was something really quite entertaining, and I've tried many a time to describe it verbally, and failed, so let's see if I'm any better with text.
Every so often, a small group of my friends and I have little "Nerd Marathons" or "Midnight Extravaganza" as we like to call it, in which we all crowd into someone's house, and play video games for a day or two. During one such event, me and one other person were in one room playing GTA: San Andreas. Because I'd neglected to bring along a memory card, we decided to start from the beginning of the game, and try and see how far we could get in whatever amount of time was available. During the FIRST MISSION (come on guys, it's not exactly as if your suffering from work fatigue here), the one where you have to outrun motorized vehicles with a small bicycle after a drive by shooting, it happened. It turned out like this:
After you "accept" the mission, there's this little cutscene, which is completely insignificant at the moment, as what happened immediately after the cutscene ended was what was truly important. It was not as if there was a moment of regularity, as soon as the cutscene ended, my friend and I were treated to a rather peculiar sight. CJ was lying on the ground, as if knocked over, and he didn't appear to be in any hurry to get up, regardless of the fact that there were several small cars, full of rival gang members taking pot shots at his prone-positioned ass. The entertaining part is the fact that, though CJ was lying on the ground, he was still controllable, to a degree. He would not move from the space that he had been currently occupying, though he would spin around in circles if prompted by either my friend or I. Now, considering that the opposing gang members didn't find this behavior in particular quite as funny as we did, CJ was in immediate danger of having a few too many bullets rammed into his lungs, however, my friend and I wanted footage. We paused the game (big mistake), and ran off the get a camera of sorts. When we returned, CJ had apparently had enough of his antics, and was back on his feet. We never got footage, something that, to this day, still haunts both my friend and I.
