I keep going back to Neverwinter Nights every few months. There are still loads of people playing it (persistent worlds and such), and quite a few modules still being made in addition to the hundreds (thousands, perhaps?) that are knocking around on the internet.
I did play Final Fantasy IX...
I procrastinate for the same reason everyone else does: There are many, many things I'd rather do than perform a task where the reward is perceived as worth less than the effort required.
I think that any DM who thinks rules are somehow a bad thing, and doesn't tell players "No" whan they're acting like friday night cockblockers, needs to be replaced.
Mine would probably be a building in which none of the doors go where you think they do. Like having the kitchen door opening into the bathroom 2 floors up. And you'd probably find me standing in the spare room asking "Where was I going again?"
