It depends on how intense the fire is. Since the death will be quicker the hotter it is. But in most cases, drowning would be less painful.. Especially if you just hold your breath until you pass out, then there won't be any pain..

Atheism isn't a leap of faith, because there is no faith involved. What we don't know the answer too, we have to say we don't know, and merely create theories, then do testing until said theories can be proven or disproven. I don't know where all the matter/energy came from, we may never know...
