He usually makes good points, but it is becoming predictable, as it can be guaranteed that the more popular a game is, the more he'll hate it. Sometimes I worry we're dealing with contrariety for the sake of contrariety.

I agreed with most points except that multi-player can never be anything more than a tack-on to a single player story mode. By this logic, Team Fortress 2 has to be one of the worst games ever made.

I hope this will get more people into tabletop gaming, but I fear that the grognards and neckbeards have already taken over.

If we're going into this conversation, what necessarily counts as casual? Is somebody who only plays Bejewled casual? Does playing for 30-60 minutes a day casual? Am I casual for playing Bioshock and its ilk for only 2-4 hours a day?

I'm going with Ninja Gaiden 2. Rented it, and couldn't beat the second level, even on the easiest difficulty setting. Also going with Farcry 2 (console edition) for the terrible save system.
