Scariest or Most Disturbing Nightmare You've Had

I've had some rambling, insane nightmares, but the scariest was when I was walking through my garden when a massive slightly green undead bloke grabbed me from behind and started crushing me. I could feel my ribs cracking and the breath being forced from my lungs before I had to make myself wake...

The Royal Wedding or Oh Look a Distraction

The fact is, the media is so flawed and full of this kind of rubbish it shouldn't be surprising that - yet again - they're not doing their job properly. It's the price you pay for being fortunate enough to have a society where freedom of speech and freedom of the press is - generally - upheld...

Best Gentle Large to Giant dog breed

Pyrenean mountain dog? It does have pretty long hair, but one of the few breeds I can tolerate :)

    Weird Dreams.

Dreamt I was in a car with some friends. We drove onto what we thought was an area of flat grassland but it turned out it was a thin layer of pondweed over a deep lake. Obviously we sunk down pretty rapidly and my only method of escape was to force myself awake out of the dream... horrid :P

The most emotional song you know

I think... "videotape" by Radiohead... Or pretty much anything from the album "Sleep" by Kimberly Freeman. "Out to Play" being the most, possibly.

How do I make a horror film?

Just had an additional thought: make your main characters likeable and easy to relate to. This will build up an audience connection with them to that they actually care what happens to them :D

How do I make a horror film?

I would suggest scripting it out first, roughly at least. Avoid cliches at all costs. One of the ways Hitchcock creates suspense is by dragging out scenes for as long as possible where you know something bad is going to happen, and when it does it's sudden (Psycho, for instance)...

What do YOU know about Cthulhu?

I've read quite a lot, I don't have any specific favourites but "The Rats in the Walls" was enjoyable, as was (I think it was called) "Reanimator". Neither of which are linked to Cthulhu, woops. I like Cthulhu and all, but it's the random less-explained stuff which seems a bit creepier.

    Recommend book please?

Anything by the French writer Fred Vargas is awesome. Crime novels with a highly original writing style and intriguing plots. Also contemplate 'Alas, Babylon' by Pat Frank. One of the best post-apocalyptic books, set in the late 50s. Read it recently and found it highly enjoyable.

    Rebecca Mayes Muses: The Machine

Okay. I have an idea for the yahtzee song. It's quite fast-paced at times, but upon further thought I realised that'd be rather suitable. --- Dear Yahtzee, How're you doing on the other side of the world from me? Across the seven seas? And the oceans too? Anyway, how are you? Dear...
