I've got one nobody's ever solved: It came on a PC gaming magazine's cover disc here in the UK about the Win95-98 era. Hardware accelerated graphics. It played like Minecraft classic in space, on asteroids made of cubes, with crystals slowly growing over it. Was freeware.

It's voxels. Technology that was abandoned because the memory usage increases at a cubic rate as the detail increases. Main limiting factor on consoles IS memory. Their demo shows no animation, lighting, moving objects, specular highlights, blending, effects beyond a basic mirror likely done...

I use UnrealEngine3 a lot but used to map for Elite Force and EF2, which are Quake 3 based. Tried to get back into it for Urban Terror 4.1, but damn that UI is so bad now.
