I started with Pokemon! Hah, but my first real Anime was Fullmetal Alchemist. Really, everyone has a preference though, you have to find different animes that suit different people's preferences. Give brief summaries, and hype it up a bit. Also it should be easy to pronounce.

Sega Master System, No games (other than Hang-On and Safari Hunt built in) and no Light Phaser, but what ever, no one else I know has one. EDIT: My girlfriend however, has the poster that came with her working NES that she still owns!
