    Zero Punctuation: Saints Row 2

    Yahtzee. Play Evil Genius.

    Why I don't like piracy: a software developer's thoughts.

Me? Give money to EA? I think not.

    "Gaymers" Speak Out On Homophobia

Mm, pointless taboo relating to sex. Honestly, people, these people are people, and I can vouch for them because I'm an arse-bandit myself, and if I'm going to be perfectly honest, yes, we do feel the need to say it more than a heterosexual will outright say he is a heterosexual - because it's...

    168: The New Social Lubricant?

Heh, nice to hear people still like the board games, though! Curiously, my college has seen an explosion of people playing chess of all games. It's great!

evrey time a new MMORPG comes out they say it will be beter than wow

I'd rather play Warhammer than WoW (but I'm not giving money to EA or Blizzard respectively), simply because Warhammer actually has a really nice background and setting, which WoW stole liberally from.

    The Internet in 3D!

The sheer concept of that gave me a slight giggle as well as a faint chill. I'm not entirely sure I like where this technology's going.

    Zero Punctuation: Spore

Excellent, more splenetic juices erupted upon the tawdry corpse of Spore. I agree with everything that "Mr. Yahtzee" as we're apparently now calling him on everything - although to be perfectly honest, I was expecting him to hate it more. I don't hate the game, but I hate the hype, and I hate it...

Warhammer 40k: DoW - Series Retrospective - "Snatching Failure from the Jaws of Success"

With Dawn of War II around the metaphorical corner, and Warhammer Online set to line EA's coffers with enough cash to make Spore [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/326.71399] seem like a financial success, I thought it may be time to look back on its predecessor. Given the typically...

    Spore.

It's the year 2000. Deep in a subterranean Maxis bunker, game designer Will Wright and his team began work on what was to be heralded as one of the most anticipated games of all time. Concieved as a working title, Spore was originally named SimEverything, another addition to the murky depths of...

To Review Or Not to Review??? That Is The Question.

Well, I like to say that reviews don't affect my buying habits, but that would probably be a total lie. Yahtzee is the obvious one that I'll "listen" to, though mainly for the good games. I'm going to acquire Psychonauts at some point, for example. And my friends, both online and real life, tend...

    Zero Punctuation: Oblivion

Personally, I found Oblivion too generic... and there's a point where "open-world" gets in the way of the whole thing, where the world is in danger and you can merrily waltz off to steal from people's houses, commit the odd regicide, storm a dungeon, blah-de-blah, and the world will be in the...
