Depending on what sort of real life surfaces it can form portals on, I would totally use it to get around faster. Think about it, you would never need to use a car again. Just shoot a portal a few miles down the road. GOOD TIMES!

Thats a thing about Attack Helicopters. They are actually extremely vulnerable to both Ground and Air Fire. Seriously they drop like flies against any reasonably armed opponent.
