Well the depth is optional TBH. I've only played the PSP version but it seems that while you can grind, level-up to 9999 etc. you don't actually have to. The item world where the grinding is done is optional though it can be handy to go in an level-up a sword to give you an extra edge in battle...
OK... well first of all the first sentence contains a HUGE spoiler! Luckily I've already seen the film. A review should tell people whether or not they should go to see it, not spoil the major events that happen in the film. Just because you expected it, doesn't mean everyone would.
EDIT...
Oblivion - The main quest sucks! Closing Oblivion gates gets far too repetitive!
Morrowind - Hate the combat!
Fallout 3 - Very depressing.
SOTC - Doesn't hold up well on repeated playthroughs IMO. Though the time trial modes are very fun.
GOW2 - Bloody Typhon's stupid Cavern...
I was #1 for a while in one of the Bionic Commando Rearmed challenge rooms. Before someone found a kind of glitch that lets you do it really fast. Still I think I'm still in the top 20. And I'm somewhere on the leaderboards in a number of the other rooms.
Pretty high up in the Pixeljunk Eden...
MGS3: Subsistence. Great gameplay, fantastic story, excellent characters and the best bosses I've ever experienced. Also the Boss is my favourite gaming character ever.
Piracy is not as big a problem as many developers make it out to be IMO. Used games on the other hand makes the developers no money and yet pretty much everyone will buy a used game if it works and is cheaper than the new copy.
I would say that used games are hurting the industry more. Piracy...
1. Castlevania: Dracula X Chronicles
2. Burnout Legends unless that's the Burnout you have.
3. Wipeout Pure/Pulse (I prefer Pure for some reason).
4. You might like MGS:PO though I didn't. Didn't like the controls.
5. Install CFW and emulate :). I wouldn't like my PSP half as much if it...
OK I'm kind of in the same boat as you in that I don't really like JRPGs. I've got into one or two of them but never very far. Most I've played is FFVII for about 20 hours on my PSP (CFW) but still not past the first disc and it has taken me about 2 years to get that far.
In terms of JRPGs...
Last purchase was Oblivion GOTY. I've spent 250 hours in the original (and yet still haven't come close to finishing everything, I guess being on my 4th character will do that), time to try Shivering Isles! Can't wait.
Next purchase will probably be Infamous unless Pixeljunk 4 or Trine are...
If I like a game enough to finish it I'll usually replay it and try to finish it 100%. Just depends on how much I enjoy it Also games like MGS4 with all the emblems, I'll do the hardest one but not the rest.
I guess it depends on what you call 100%.
In a word EPIC. Probably the most epic action/adventure game ever made.
It's an unforgettable game. One piece of advice. DO NOT look online for help with any of the colossi no matter how stuck you think you are. It will ruin your experience. I didn't and my memories are so much sweeter...
Was playing Team Fortress 2, had just started playing it that day. Didn't really know the game well yet. So I was running around and suddenly come face to face with... myself! Didn't know what the hell to do, stood staring for about 6/7 seconds and then he killed me... damn spy!
