In my opinion, gen 2 (GSC) was the cream of the crop. Even the latest doesn't stand up to GSC's greatness. However, it could certainly beaten, say if GSC were reimagined on the Wii as a full RPG with 3D graphics and whatnot. (Or even, dare I say, an MMORPG?!?)

I kind of agree. I mostly liked the conversations/dialog in ME, but the combat, inventory system, equipment and customization is definitely better in Fallout 3 and DA:O.
