    Zero Punctuation: S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky

He's the head of Australian 'Censorship everything for no good reason League' (also known as the classification board). I thought he would mention the very broken English of the dialogue, still very funny none the less hey buddy good times. Also WTH is with the pothead Freedom bartender...

Games you hate but everyone else seems to love

WoW to me is not a game, it's a cancer on society like rap music (when the rappers got really rich and bragged about it in every single one of their songs, so pretty much rap after 1994) and myspace. I know it's not fair to judge something I haven't played but I find the whole premise boring...

    Annoying genre mechanics

Multiple vehicle/ objective hunting in GTA/ GTA Clones, where you chase one vehicle for ages then destroy it and have to go halfway across the city to find the next one only to find that you've run out of time.

Poll: Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater

I LOVE MGS2! (I'm probably the only one who voted for 2) Haven't played 1, currently playing 3 with old camera which frustrates me.

    Which games killed their series?

Turok: Evolution, Burn in hell Acclaim!!! Mind you the new Turok wasn't too bad, just a bit too 'Hollywooded' (compared to Evolution's B-movieness) Red Steel killed the chance to have a good Wii shooter that wasn't Metroid Prime 3.

Zero Punctuation: Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Well I feel dirty, I never actually realised that I am a fanboy of Nintendo (I knew I was Metroid fanboy). I would like to note I was with the pile of laughing pricks when I first heard of the wii, but I stopped abruptly when I heard it had motion sensing control. Now I'm off to drag my...

Wii is a Virus: Epic Boss

Sour Grapes? more like Sour Wine. From my understanding they are licensing the UE3 to Ubisoft who apparently intend to use it (and cut about every corner to do so) to make Red Steel 2.

The most 'No fair!' moment in a video game?

2 words 'Scout Raped'. And destroying the companion cube, we were going to run away together. EDIT: Someone beat me to the 'two words' line.

    What do you find scary?

Snakes, gorram snakes. Plus the Crysis sharks.

The most over-rated/overhyped game of 2008?

Mario Kart Wii. Even with online play it will become boring in no time (although if they make a stage creator it may be a different story). The gameplay looks to be pretty much the same as before and no redeeming innovative additions to it. I mean at least SSBB tried to spice things up with...

The last fun game you played.

Sam and Max episodes, sure they got repetitive after a while but I loved the humour and thinking of which item I should use to solve something and of course the fact that there was no tedious look, push, talk, etc interface. STALKER and Super Mario Galaxy are my honourable mentions. For me...

    Favorite video game weapon.

The Sniper's machete from TF2 - Something about it makes the hairs on my arm stand on edge and my Aussie blood boil. The US carbine from DOD - Just loved popping all those rounds into those damn Nazis. Max's boxing glove from Sam and Max Season one - Technically an item, I loved the idea...

    I overexpected Portal

While I liked portal, I never fell into the hype, it was the last on my list (with 1 being episode two and 2 being team fortress 2). I was surprised by the story and praised the gameplay but felt it lacked re-playability (like every other adventure/puzzle game) even with the bonus stages and...

    EA Announces FaceBreaker

Is it just me or is EA just going to over use this cartoon-y art style. I mean first BF:Heroes now this. What's next, a cartoon Need For Speed?

Franchises that NEED to DIE, and those that will last forever

I don't mind the constant wave after wave of Nintendo games, even if the only change in gameplay is minor. They have the style, art direction, story telling (uh minus Mario of course) and characters that have kept me satisfied and they have never made me frown yet at 'new' gameplay choices...
