I Despise sports games

Grand Theft auto 3 (ducks) I can't explain it I actually found GTA 2 to be my favourite out of all the series

and goddamn bloody Counter-Strike back at home everyone was obsessed about it as Koreans with Starcraft thanks to that game I avoid multiplayer games like the plague

and I never finished any of the half-life games the first one I reached around 70% but then just got bored and disgusted and the second one I got bored and tired of the crab zombie fest I think it was also around 60 or 70% of the game. Hate it is too strong for a word I wasn't content about it

Madden. If they took a year off to make the next Madden better, then I'd be happy, but they never will of course. Too much of a cash cow. *moo*

Morrowind. I want to like Morrowind, I really do. But everytime I play it I experience Empty Box Syndrome. Huge world, but much of it seems way too bland and empty.

Bad Company. Meh, the concept of realisticly taking two bullets before dying =/= a fun multiplayer game (disregarding head shots). I'll take TF2 or even Halo any day over this.

Personally I've never enjoyed a single Square-Enix game. They're all overly long, boring, overrated, and unpolished as far as everything that I've tried. Even Super Mario RPG felt very awkward and isn't fun to replay like the Paper Mario games are.

Also games made by Blizzard. I don't understand why no one at all criticizes Blizzard games. Maybe I'm just not their target audience. I tend to dislike real-time strategy games in general.

X2: The Threat and X3: Reunion. Also empty box syndrome. Maybe if it actually had some side-plot missions mixed in... nope. It's usually just you and your devices.

Gears of War has to take it for me. I bought it..played it for 3 seconds, and threw that PoS right up on ebay.

I really can't stand TPS's, specially when you have to "press" a button to get the aim thinger to show up, it should already be there!

DDR is the creation of the devil.
Halo: I swear if I have to play in blood gulch one more time, someone will die.
I never found any of the Tomb Raider games fun in the least.

I don't know why everyone seems to love God of War so much. I played Chains of Olympus and the most I would call it is mediocre.
I am personally offended! Like ElArab said, play the 1st or 2nd game. It'll change your mind.

Good topic. Lets see, just about any shooter that has to rely on its multiplayer to keep people playing it while the single player is criminally short, especially since i hate online multiplayer in them. Sports games in general. And pretty much anything without a story to follow, a goal to achieve, a reason for playing, or a really bad story that people still like (example: Halo 3).

Winning eleven god i hate it and i suck at it all my friends get together and say: hey let's play a winning eleven tournament with 64 friking teams!

what i hear when they say that: Hey let's play something that we can actually go out and do but we don't because I rather have fun playing soccer in a friking video game that learing how to play in the real world!

( and it goes for all sport games like NBA or football or ice hockey and stuff )

I don't "hate" it, but Grand Theft Auto IV. You won't be missing out on much if you wait for a price drop. Even if that takes forever. The same can be said about Rainbow Six Vegas 2: surprisingly average. And then there's Madden, any Madden game, pick one; they've got nothing special to them.

FF7. Oh, I loved Advent Children, but FF7 was boring beyond compare. I still don't know how it got away with a "EPIC AWESOMENESS" while Legend of the Dragoon got a "Meh."

How is it that no one has said World of Warcraft yet? I despise that game. Along with runescape.

Obvilion by far. What makes it so great??? Nothing
I personally find Oblivion to be most enjoyable when decked out with about 10-20 mods. Which I guess doesn't say a lot about the game. Still, I think it's a good game. Just felt like throwing in my 2 cents. ^_^

Oh man, great thread. I've been wanting to get this one off my chest for awhile:

Okami. Good lord I thought that game sucked. It's an action-adventure game, right? It was slow and repetitive in combat, which pretty much bored me of the "aciton" part. It didn't have any nifty puzzles or an enjoyable story, which bummed me out on the "adventure" part. It was long, arduous, and unrewarding. They stuck a Jiminy Cricket type character in there, but managed to somehow make him even more annoying and persistent. I hated going into the little arena thing every time I had to fight one of those battles with identical enemies. The brush stroking was repetitive and lacked novel use - you just did the same stroke to do the same thing in any obvious place. It's not like you were really using it to interact with the game in a unique way - there was no freedom. You just wave the right brush stroke and something appears, or disappears, or whatever, but it was all canned and scripted. It's not like you were cleverly chopping trees on an enemy, or damming rivers to flood an enemy, or plonking down stairs wherever you want to explore secret, optional areas.

It was boring, unfun, and I hated every minute of it. Everyone else seems to love it, for some reason that I really can't fathom at all. Frankly, I think it's no better than some bottom-of-the-barrel JRPG.

Whew, I feel better.

WoW to me is not a game, it's a cancer on society like rap music (when the rappers got really rich and bragged about it in every single one of their songs, so pretty much rap after 1994) and myspace. I know it's not fair to judge something I haven't played but I find the whole premise boring.

God of War, I did like but felt rather bored at the end of it all.

Now onto my list:

Halo >2
JRPG games (as with WoW, I should probably give them a proper chance)
MMORPG
Battlefield series
Kirby games
Bioshock
Counter Strike
Banjo Kazooie games
Games that are just pretenders that follow a trend such as Heavenly Sword compared to God of War (even though HS was in development for a long time) and True Crime compared to GTA.
