I'm going to get hated for this, and keep in mind, I REALIZE the power of the game lies in narrative and mood (both of which are based on graphics and sound quality.) Two minutes with Silent Hill 2 told me that it doesn't hold hold up technically. At all.

RE5 was probably my biggest disappointment... It wasn't terrible, heck, it was actually pretty good. But coming off RE4, is vastly underperformed. I still don't know why it went to Africa. Hm, I guess Brutal Legend was kinda disappointing. Again, good game, just not as good as it needed...

nah, Bioshocks not that bad. It's got some dark subject matter, but nothing very scary. Lost of suspense, not a lot of horror. For Me though, the most disturbing stuff is found in Manhunt. I haven't even played it and I think it shouldn't exist. Oh, that and the popularity of Modern...

It was very good, but I played it too late. The visuals were already outdated and SO much of that game is on the subtleties, the atmosphere and the ambiance. Only when you go next gen do you realize that the PS2 sucked in terms of sound quality. Everything sounds tinny and thin.
