Russian Hackers Have Stolen Over A Billion Internet Passwords

This is usually fairly interesting to discover, despite mandating a new password for security's sake. Is it known if any fraud has been perpetrated using the stolen information? I doubt many websites would store credit card info after the big kerfuffle last year.

Poll: Favorite Mass Effect class (please read before vote)

ME1: Adept, because ragdolling enemies with impunity was fun. ME2: Vanguard, because Adept was nerfed and Biotic Charge was badass. ME3: Adept, because double Pull/Throw with minimized cooldowns and improved explosions cleared rooms with ease.

    BioWare Co-Founders Retire

First Drew Karpyshyn, now the (important) co-founders? Goodbye, BioWare. May you rest in peace.

Did ME3 ruin Mass Effect for you?

Mass Effect 3's ending utterly ruined the franchise. I've no plans to buy another ME game. With the departures of Drew Karpyshyn, Ray Muzyka, and Greg Zeschuk, BioWare is dead to me.

Mass Effect 3 Fans Will Find Closure June 26th

Wow, they sure made a lot of typos there. They kept adding an 'S' to 'ending'.

    Biggest Game Disappointments

Mass Effect 3's ending. Biggest video game disappointment I've ever experienced. The rEApers have harvested another studio.

Poll: That old question Fantasy or Sci fi

Superhero stuff tends to get its own category, which makes sense, since its unified by more than just what kinds of devices you find (magic amulet vs personal shield generator). Classifying it superficially highlights the coexistence of magic, gods, robots, powered armor, etc. Classifying it...

Poll: That old question Fantasy or Sci fi

In a way, it's silly to define something based on superficial characteristics like whether it features dragons or spaceships. If a fantasy book were to deal with science, I'd be more likely to think of it as sci-fi than I would if a sci-fi book were to deal with psychic powers over actual science.

Poll: That old question Fantasy or Sci fi

No problem. And thank you. :) Star Wars, The Matrix, and The Avengers are science fantasy movies. The first two feature "Chosen Ones", prophecies, magical powers, etc. Doctor Who has evolved into science fantasy over the years. Final Fantasy VII is a good example of the genre, as is Chrono...

Poll: That old question Fantasy or Sci fi

I looked it up on Wikipedia this morning. Seems pretty cool. I'm not a tabletop gamer but I'd be interested in a video game in that setting. Too bad only one's been made. First, thanks for humoring me. His statement that Tatooine, Hoth, and Dagobah were the exceptions to the rule that the...

Poll: That old question Fantasy or Sci fi

Oh, come on, verdant monkai. You're not even going to try? Just a bit? For me? What if I say, "Pretty please with a cherry on top?" Well, I suppose I should thank you for concisely making my point for me. Funny thing is that the last two paragraphs were on topic. Thank you for your time...

Poll: That old question Fantasy or Sci fi

Why thank you. It did take some time to type that. I'm so glad you appreciated it. And yes, I'm fully aware of the irony. I prefaced my reply with that image to highlight the absurdity of my post because I am nothing if not self-deprecating. I greatly enjoy irony in its every form. Besides, the...

Poll: That old question Fantasy or Sci fi

You refuse to research the topic at hand and have the audacity to tell him to research Kamino. Are you unaware that Naboo is in the films you later profess to love? Do you honestly think that your knowledge of the subject surpasses QuenkerKing's? By the Force, his name is a reference to a small...
