I think it kind of defeats the purpose of kissing when your mind is somewhere else. It's even self defeating as a means of getting someone to kiss you because the kiss is secondary to the game. It's a novel control mechanism though.

We should also remember that DA isn't really a linear game. That means it probably wont even be possible to see all 103 minutes in a single playthrough. Unlike MGS which is completely linear so to complete the game you must encounter every cutscene(whether you skip it or not).
