Ok im in the Fade part (where your trying to empty out the tower of magi from the monsters) and i got to one of the boss islands, where i found my dog sleeping. I chose one of the wake em up actions, and he ran off and i cant find him. WTH is my dog?

Yeah, everyone you find in those islands is going to vanish. Dog is unique in that he doesn't look at you and go, "Wait. Where are you going?" It will make sense when you get to Sloth.

I have both the PS3 and PC version. This mod is just one of the reasons I prefer the PC for this game. OMG I hated the fade on my PS3 (I was playing a mage that was (a) a little noobishly specced in the first place; (b) set up as party support rather than a strong damage dealer/survivor)

Your by yourself till the last boss in the Fade, you just get your party members out of their dreams. And if you don't really hard boss battle.

Just keep going, the plotline will progress. The dog is useless anyways! *shakes fist!*

That said, I actually enjoyed the Fade part of DA:O. Go Burning Man form and Stone Golem form, bitches! ^^

I actually liked the fade part, that said I was playing at like 5am and tripping on sleep deprivation from the last couple of days. I only finished the game once too.

You don't have to rescue your party members(though you'd better be playing on casual if you don't), and once you memorize the correct routes it takes less than 20 minutes to do, assuming you hit X to fast forward all the pointless conversations.

*shudder* Gyuh, I hated the Fade part. Not entirely difficult, but it's a boring black mark on an otherwise entertaining part of the game. At least I found it boring.

Yeah, OP, as others said, just leave the area. You're alone in the Fade, without party accompaniment, until you get to the center, the area with the sloth demon. If you haven't reached the other party members yet, you will play a short scene dealing with their background in each area you find them in, and then they will disappear once they get through it. They will then reappear to help you fight off the sloth demon.

I dunno, I didn't find it completely useless, but definitely not one of my main party members. I always run with Leliana, Morrigan, and either Alistair or Sten (with occasional appearances by Shale). Though naming him is quite fun. Go Battle Lord! (cookie for the DnD reference). The party members you get later are just not as good. Well, except for Wynne, but I can get Morrigan to heal to essentially the same effect and still pack a greater offensive punch at the same time.

He's dead. You made a mistake, and you might as well just forget about him.

....Kidding, of course. Just keep playing, and he'll be back.

I thought the dog was useless at first, but he's actually a fantastic damage dealer, he's way tougher than you might think, and he's the only party member that actually moves faster in combat. My friend defeated the high dragon with just him and Wynne, his other party members having been killed almost instantly.

I rather enjoy the mod that lets me have the dog as a fifth party member similar to a summoned animal. ^_^

A similar thing happened to me when I was fighting Flemeth. Me and Sten die instantly but the dog and Wynne almost beat it. Though that probably has more to do with the fact that all the dog needs for attributes is strength and dex so he hit hard and was couldn't be hit himself.

OT: Yeah do what everyone else says. People disappear but return to fight the boss.

Wait, the dog and Wynne.......doing the math.....carry the 1......divide by Pi.

By "other party members" you mean a single person... who was it?

Works even better when you are spec'd as a shapeshifter (strength and control obviously). You transform into the bear/spider first, barge through, overwhelm the puny mortals, and because un-shifting is instantaneous, you can then go from bear/whatever, straight to a fade form, so overwhelm bear + fireball burning man = pwn.

You keep the dog around? Wow, that's loyal of you. I still argue that if the dog kills both darkspawn and archdemon, he's a warden as well. Wardendog! Anyways, he'll be fine, he's just elsewhere, like the rest of your party. Neat tip: Make sure to keep him around in the Orzammar mines, and have him sniff around for high-quality loot!

Fair enough, I've just got enough mods (read: armor and weapons) on my game that the dog basically becomes a permanent avatar for my party selection screen. I typically just use Wynne and Alistair, or Morrigan and Leliana for a party.

Don't have that mod myself, so I still stick with either of the combinations noted above. I have no doubt though the dog could be useful, I just have no room or use for him with certain other mods enhancing everyone else (equipment wise).
