It's either The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness, or I Shall Wear Midnight by Terry Pratchett.
The Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson and Iron Sunrise by Charles Stross get honourable mentions.
Nah, I lost interest in the call of duty franchise at MW1. Never bought MW2 or any of them after that. They started heading down the multiplayer focus and short SP campaigns and just lost me.
Vin from Mistborn. (Brandon Sanderson
Sonea from the black magician trilogy (Trudi Canavan, and all of her books have female lead characters, even if her most recent series is an ensemble (so male leads too))
Mallian from the Wall of Night series (Helen Lowe)
Shy from Red Country (Joe...
So, though the trailer said nothing about the gameplay whatsoever, at least it vaguely implies that the new guy is a bit more Ezio than Connor - the worst protagonist in the series in my opinion, by quite some way (which is why it wounds me that the prologue has you playing as such a good...

police officers are there to keep the peace, not kill people. The UK doesn't suffer from out of control criminality and we have almost no gun crime. What possible use could we have for arming our officers when there is no clear need for them to be so?
The Stormlight archive is looking amazingly promising. I can't believe I'm going to have to wait several years for the next one due to his other commitments :( I want to know what happens!
At least I'll have the alloy of law to tide me over in the next couple of months :)
Mistborn, currently. My 'favourite' tends to change all the time but it's the most recent series that left a huge impact on me so it's my current favourite.
