I can totally relate to this. ME1 was fun with loot and planet exploration and the levels were bigger and not-so-railroad-like. ME2 was just generic by all accounts. Playing Mass Effect 2 felt like a Gears of War clone, and I haven't enjoyed coverbased shooters ever.

I really hope that Squenix will milk this baby for all its got! Pricetag of 5o? at release and they would still make huge profits... Until the golden spectacles drop from the eyes of fanboys.

I've noticed that when I got hyped about a game (or anything else, for that matter), buying it right at the release was a huge letdown. That's why I don't get hyped anymore. Some franchises are fun, but I do not wait for their sequels. It's nice if it happens, but even then I'm waiting for...

This so much! The gameplay was fun but the dialog and characters were horrible! You could not even skip the cutscenes, which would have made the game good. The one cutscene in particular comes to mind, when Lara is quietly watching her friend being dragged to a temple by the main antagonist...

None of the forementioned holidays cater for me, except on Xmas I tend to get wasted... Maybe on halloween, too, but they really are artificial consumer parties, so they mean nothing to me. And I have no idea what that Thanksgiving-thing is all about? Boost turkey sales? It sounds utterly...

This year has been slow; I bought only a couple games off Steam Summer Sale... I won't touch "the AAA-games" until they come with a reduced price, but no new releases has peaked my interest lately. The next Borderlands might be a game I would be intrigued to buy full price, but we'll see.

I've tried to restart playing Dragon Ages, but I always get so bored with the generic world and boring "background story start" that I cannot keep playing. I don't think Inquisition is going to be any good, so I'm just going to skip it. Bioware should come up with something truly good to repair...
