First off, you are a couple hundred episodes from finishing Bleach, so good luck. Second, watch Baccano! It my all time favorite, and several other escapists have and will recommend it. English dub is pretty stellar too. EDIT: It is pretty violent though, so there is that.

You can't really judge the whole of anime by the likes of Pokemon or DBZ. Those are cash cows, bilked franchises as it were. As a side note, Ed, Edd, n Eddy was one of the few American cartoons I still have respect for. Even as I am older now, it still makes me laugh.
