Screen tearing is when a part of the screen is out of line with the rest. Maybe not for you, but people wouldn't make such a big deal if there was no noticeable difference.

Steep hills that you can't climb up in open world games. I know every game in the world can't have a parkour system like Assassin's Creed, but I hate having to walk 500 meters around a hill because it's just slightly too steep to walk up.
