I would say that the Monkey Island series is worth shedding a few tears over. Granted, the last sequel didn't carry quite the same oomph as the earlier ones, but it was still pretty awesome. Another adventure with Guybrush Threepwood, the mighty pirate, would probably kick several kinds of ass...
