Yeah, I always end up being a saint too. It just feels wrong to be a jerk, even if it's in a videogame and to fictional characters. Quite strange, I admit. Although I can force myself to be evil if it gets me a different ending, but then I still always play good first.

I usually play (a really good game only) good first, evil second, whatever the hell mood takes me 3rd (then, if its like KOTOR I play trying to get just about every single little piece of possible outcome - although I never managed to get carth to...)

In games I'm usually Neutral Evil, maybe a bit Chaotic Evil.

Using the TvTropes explanation of both alignments: A Neutral Evil character may slaughter a village because it's in his way, but a Chaotic Evil one will slaughter it because it's there (or, under different interpretation - a Neutral Evil character will slaughter a village without remorse, but will be careful enough to destroy all proofs that he's responsible; a Chaotic Evil one will make it clear he did it and there's nothing you can do about it).

Normally I'll do both without much difficulty. That said, mostly I enjoy being the heroic savior valiant good guy more than his antithesis.

Beeing the good and morally upright guy just comes naturally to me for some reason. I really have to force myself when I try the occasional evil way of doing things. Most of the time when I see the evil options, something in my head just goes "OMG, that's soooo mean, you can't do that! Think of the children!" (and oddly enough, children are most of the time not really involved :O).

Normally i like to be gray, but most of the time i try to get into the setting and say to myself "what would I3uster do here", and then decide.

I usually want to be evil at the start of a game, but I always turn into Mr Nice Guy.
There are usually no benefit from being "evil" in most games, you always just get less gear and "quests" and everybody is after you. KotoR is quite a bit easier if you play as sith though, Force Storm is overpowered as all hell.

I chose, Yes, I have to be good but I would've chosen Good, then evil later. If I play a game where I get to choose to be good or evil, I play it twice. First, good. Second, evil. Sometimes, a little of both. I like to play the game as if I'm the character. No one can be all good.

Well, for me, it depends on the setting. I did whatever the hell I wanted in FO3, taking what i needed to survive.

And Oblivion...man i'll never forget my first civilian kill. i felt horrible. I had just finished doing a quest for a man who needed sluaghterfish scales. He was a kind old man, and as i handed him his Scales, he told me about retiring and spending long days with his horses.just from his eyes i could see pure happiness. he gave a ring that would help me breathe under water for my troubles. it wasn't enough for me. I went back under the cover of nightfall, my silver dagger gleaming in it's sheath. I robbed him of everything, including his life savings. he woke up. I didn't want to do it, but he was gonna tell the guard...I stabbed him.Repeatedly. I ran straight back to my house on the Waterfront, sleeping off my fear of the guard.

I always choose to be has evil has I can without wasting the game, like on fallout 3 I do the quests, then I kill the quest giver and steal all their stuff. I always insult, lie and steal, it just feels more fun being an evil bastard to me. But afterwards I play it again has a goody.

I remember in fallout 3 I decided to blow up megaton, but before I did it I went to megaton, killed everyone and robbed all their houses and body's the only thing I regret was that I didn't realise there was a bobble head in the sheriff's house, my friend thought I was a dick for doing that, but I don't care I do it to every town I find unless I like the characters. The only person I didn't kill in megaton though was the person I hated most, the one which made me swim in toxic waste, I killed her and reloaded over and over again but when it came to it I didn't want to kill her but I robbed her and pick pocketed all her stuff instead.

I am most good through-out games just to get a good ending... But I will sometimes save the game and kill everything and everyone I hate in the game just to take out anger, then load it back up!
I am this to a tee pretty much. I try to be evil in games, but it never fill me with the same kind of fun I get from being nice and generally helpful to NPCs.

I'm good in the form of choosing the obvious light option (to kill the homeless dude or not), but that's a pretty simple choice.

My gaming conscience extends to when I'm roaming around in World OF Warcraft. I don't gank people... ever. I attack people and kill them sure, but not when they're 10 levels below or something. It's more like a preemptive strike so they don't ambush me.

I know I'm totally, totally in the minority with that but I do.
