First (openly) gay athlete in American sports

For this man to come out as the first openly gay athlete is not amazing, when athletes can come out as openly gay and not have it be reported on, that will be amazing. It's the same for any "first" Barack Obama being the first black president is important and groundbreaking; now hopefully, any...

Absurd and unrealistic expectations for Half-Life 3

While I disagree with some points you've made, I don't think anyone is really expecting the third installment to reinvent the wheel or anything. I think, myself included, we just want the story wrapped up or continued. Valve is the best company for quality assurance and refined gameplay, if...

What do so few gay gamers play FPS games?

I'm gay and nearly all I play is FPS, granted I play RPG's, RTS's, and strategy but mostly western Rpgs like The Elder scrolls series or something along those lines. Of course I wouldn't call myself part of gay culture since I hate the idea of it.

This makes me fear our future.

This [http://www.rollingstone.com/politics/news/one-towns-war-on-gay-teens-20120202] Disgusts me. I am at an absolute loss for words. Edit: To all those who say that the principal is to blame, please remember. None of these teachers want these kids to be bullied, they're not the...

So I see this ad about becoming a writer for the escapist...

...and my first thought is mainly, "Wow, I could write for the escapist? That's awesome, after all, I love their columns on the site!" So I begin to whip up an email getting ready to pitch a weekly column idea to an editor, I explain my idea for the column (a Negative Retrospective on several...

What are some moments in games that really hit you?

Listening to these [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cCJBOZC7XdQ] normally makes me think. Either that or the good ending of Bioshock.

You've become the main antagonist in a game

As long as I follow these [http://www.proft.org/tips/evil.html] steps I would be a great Antagonist.

Writing in Games, whats your favorite?

I always love a well written game script, And besides the stand out games like Bioshock, Mass effect, and portal. What game do you think has your favorite and/or best writing? For me I always love listening to the Jakal tapes in Far Cry 2.

True art work is moving, so can games truely be considered art?

Warning! Wall of text. I do find it funny how I just got done writing this and this discussion came up.

I'm trying to be a writer.

I admit this isn't really a short story and I have written other stories that are much longer and more of a "story" than this. I'm trying to be a Novelist and/or one of those professional bloggers.

I'm trying to be a writer. (wall of text)

Now I just want someone to read this short story and tell me what you think. The only real problem I have is finding someone to critique my writing to make it better, any help would be nice, thanks. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------...

What narrative can I learn? (Literary Cannon)

Notes from Underground by Fyodor Dostoevsky Is a pretty intellectual read. Not saying it's a classic, and seeing how you're a English major and I'm still in high school you probably shouldn't take my advice.
