Well, you can't have your character be a meek sheep in one scene and then a mean bear in another without giving adequate reason for it to happen. You have to set it up ahead of time, or create an internal change in the character over time before that point. It's like directing water down hill...

As a writer, I don't think I have total control over my writing to begin with. The characters are their own people, who act their own way. Everything is shaped by the events and setting in ways I can't fully predict until I'm buried in the guts of the story. I also love when something or someone...

The Lexx movies, (not the series). Yea, it can be a little corny, but it's good hard science fiction with some interesting characters. Also, give Deep Space 9 a chance. It succeeds where every other star trek fails.

I remember when Shivering Isles came out. That expansion brought back all the wonder I experienced playing Morrowind as a kid. When the first room dissolved into butterflies I knew I would enjoy the expansion more than the game it expanded on.
