Always play through as a male first - due to the fact I will always play as the tank/warrior class and males always have the more realistic armor. Cleric/Healer roles are always a female as it always seems to me to be mothering type class lol.

If Dwarf is available they are always my first choice, other than that I just go for the strong melee race. That's for my first play-through anyway, after that I'll go for the race with the best bonuses for the class I'm going to play.

"A portal can help save your life if placed in the correct place." I would replace either 'place' or 'placed' with another of similar meaning - such as 'located' or 'location'. Avoids the duplication, which (to me) just seems wrong.
