I think if you're going to try and explore rap/hip-hop, The Roots are a good band to start with. They are excellent musicians and incorporate many influences from other genres. They may be easier on the ears than some harsh underground rappers spitting about political injutice and oppression...

To be honest I think us British will deal with zombies better than our snow days. If more than an inch of snow rests on our shores, all laws and order crumble and the country grinds to a halt.

Depends what kind of 'alien' you mean. Biological life-forms on another planet? Almost undoubtedly - the sheer number of planets alone nearly guarantees it. Small bug-eyed boogie men abducting innocent civilians as the backwoods of Kentucky? Not so much.

Have never gotten Final Fantasty and, for the most part, other JRPG's. The whole Rock Band/Guitar Hero thing doesn't interest me either, neither does Tetris. They just don't have atmosphere, storyline or charm, and I guess they're not really meant to, but that's the reason I can't play them much.

Patapon 2 gave me about 120 hours, which is an ungodly amount of time when taken into consideration. Other games that are close to clocking that amount are some of the Call of Duty's (due to the online) and my recent addiction to Battlefield: Bad Company 2.
