Poll: Your favorite Star Wars game?

Battlefront. KOTOR was good, but battlefront was one of the few FPSs I thought captured what it was actually like to be in a warzone. Yes you did respawn, but you weren't the same stormtrooper, and when you win a match with only 14 of your 350 troops left. You really get a nice "wow, war really...

Things you liked about games you didn't

Blitzball. Yeah I said it. When I played final fantasy ten, I went to the tournaments and played the mini-game for 6 hours, without processing in the story. I found the minigame fast paced and quite enjoyable, if there was ever a "sports game" spin off that I would've bought it was that one.

    Escape to the Movies: Scre4m

Hmmm The more I read an analyze this it looks like Bob is turning into Frank Miller. According to one review of Linkara's (I forget which), Frank Miller's work has gradually gone down in quality (read: escape to the movies), but on his blog posts is well-spoken (read: big picture, and...

What makes a hero? Motivation vs Action

Funny last time I was down there it looked like they were paved with broken glass and hot coals. (and wow I need to work on my sense of humor) Ok the Fable 3 thing is pretty interesting. Although I do have to question why you can't reveal that the cosmic monstrosity is coming to the...

What makes a hero? Motivation vs Action

Hmm....very interesting case here. I need a tad more detail. Was the fact that you did the good thing directly responsible for the killing, and was there anyway you could have forseen it happening? For example, giving to a begger a ton of money, in a crime ridden hell-hole of a city, you can...

Poll: is the first portal the best game ever?

Define: Ever "at any time" (source google). No, it's going to be topped eventually, therefore it is not the best game ever.

Why does the length of a game matter?

I often have to question games like Fable having "two endings". A lot of games with karma meters that give two endings actually only have the ending based on one decision made at the last moment. I'm just saying I don't consider it "two time replay" if I could see both endings, simply by...

    Shorter campaigns: Problem or improvement?

Shorter campaign, unfortionatly without a point of reference meaning nothing. If an RPG has a storyline that takes 200 hours for a speedrunner to complete. Yes, you need to make that game shorter. If a game has a campaign that can be beaten in 4 hours. You need to make that longer or dirt...

What makes a hero? Motivation vs Action

The funny thing is, the simple statement is quite true a lot of time. A good balance of empathy and logic often make great people. lol

What makes a hero? Motivation vs Action

Ultimately I have to question what makes you a "True" villain (see no true Scotsman). An evil person who does evil for the sake of the evulz? Ok, he might be a villain by anyone's standards, but he's just going to get his ass kicked by some holy knight. A evil person who gets away with...

What makes a hero? Motivation vs Action

Recently after reading the short mini-debate on morality in video games, karma meters and so on. I figured I would post a long stream of logic that ultimately creates the question of "how many 'Heroes'/'Villains' in video games are really what they are claimed to be. The argument goes like...

Why does every RPG receive so much hate?

Ok sit down people this is going to be long. The main problem "RPGs" get so much hate is because "RPG" isn't even an actual genre if read as written. "Role Playing Game" Ok then, Halo is a game where you play a role as a space marine, Starcraft is a game where you play multiple roles as...
