Does this game blows chunks or is it just me?

Thanks. I am here because I have found that the quality of the opinions and such is better than I generally find on game-related sites. Lots of people moving the dialog forward.

Does this game blows chunks or is it just me?

I join a thread or read reviews mainly to find out if I would enjoy a game before parting with my hard earned cash. Forums are a great way to provide feedback for other players and any game developers with their ears open. So...can we improve on the quality of the dialog...please? Nobody...

    Non-combat games

My musician freinds and I used to muse that a game where your job is to manage a rock-band had a lot of game potential. Lo an behold there is s PC game called Band manager (It's like they read our mind!) I haven't tried it but I have accually toured the B-curcuit as a Road-Manager/Sound-engineer...

Where did System Shock 3 go?

Originally i could not get into the game preferring DeusEx (by the the same designer). Then as a favor to a gamer pal I converted some old hardware into a systemshock vessel. He had always raved about it but could not play it on his modern system. before I gave him the system with game...

Side scrolling platformers. Why left to Right?

[quote="octafish" snip I'm with octafish. Writing, not reading, left to right is more likely to influence this. Also, with the majority of people being right-handed it would be a common bias. Consider this. If you were just dropped off by a friend at the side of the road and you turn to...

    Should I play WOW ?

Never played WOW but one of my long-time gaming buddies joined for a while. It was like he started selling Amway or something cuz he kept trying to get friends to play with him. I never saw him the whole time he held a subscription. Typical phone conversation during this period: "Hey...

what is your most favorite RTS unit

The mighty SCV from Starcraft or combat engineers as I call 'em. Take them along for feild maintenance(They also can heal each other), building your 'base of fire' before the big attack on the enemy base, minesweeping or toss then into the fight with medics to slow their demise. They will...

What's your favorite unheard of and/or unappreciated games?

Warrior kings: battles. My favorite part was the farming. Careful placement of farms and villages were an art to be mastered. The troop formations were cool and the combined arms element worked well. My troops need FOOD! I dont know anyone who has played it.

Do you trust medication when the side effects are worse than the disease?

Most arthritis drugs treat for pain (symptom) and actually can make the cause (inflamation) worse. I have osteoarthritis which is not as severe as Rhumatoid and I take no medication. My pain and inflamation have been greatly reduced with Glucosomine/chondroitin and MSM. (supplements)...

    Your Gaming Roots

I love the grand adventure, and epic scope that some titles have achieved. Here are three games that stood out for me over the years. Privateers 2 : A stand-out game that got great visuals due to it being a Dos-based engine. The game featured amazing space dog-fights and was mission based so...

Poll: Your about to murder 1 video game clishe...What will it bee?

I went with Graphics over gameplay. (I love good graphics but they can't make up for bad gameplay. Good gameplay can, however, make a game riveting regardless of eye-candy.) Note: good gameplay facilitates my imagination because immersion is about my 'suspension of disbelief'. I can willingly...

Recommend me some Science Fiction books!

Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card. (classic) You might like Niel Asher's 'Polity' Series. Book one holds up pretty good by itself. Lots of creepy monsters & cool tech. Asher knows how to write a good space-battle. My first taste of SF: Starship Troopers. (the book was light and entertaining.)

Most Badass thing you've done in your life?

Learning to walk for the fourth time (this incarnation) Firt time: Birth. No big whup. We all have to learn to crawl, walk then run. Second time: Recovered from being struck by car while walking (no Kick-ass superpowers for my troubles). Flew thirty feet, hinged cast for five months, left...
