Did Ecco the Dolphin scare you?

I used to play Ecco on the megadrive a lot. Running into the blue whale always scared the pants off me.

    Magic outside the medieval times?

Arcanum I guess, sorta. Though it is partially classic fantasy but with an industrialising, steampunk setting. Now that you mention it, it's hard to think of any I've played.

Overclocking help - stubborn FSB speed

Who knows, if the setting are bad it should fail POST and reset, not just pretend some settings don't exist. Thanks for the advice on RAM timings, that was one thing I found pretty confusing.

Overclocking help - stubborn FSB speed

Ok, I seem to have fixed it (I hope) but as to what was causing it... I powered down pulled PSU & all my RAM sticks from mobo, cleared CMOS again and booted into BIOS. Tried a tiny overclock to 270MHz...the overclock held in windows. Replaced another RAM stick, made a few more tiny...

Where can I find old games legally?

Try abandonia as a good alternative to HOTU http://www.abandonia.com/ They were pretty strict about only legal dls when I was last there and they update frequently. There's even a Steam group for them I think.

Overclocking help - stubborn FSB speed

Thanks for trying to help me out. The clock settings are not resetting - I can look at the BIOS anytime and see my overclocks, it's just that the setting for fsb speed is being effectively ignored(and only fsb speed - changes to multipliers etc ARE reflected in diagnostic tools after boot). I...

Overclocking help - stubborn FSB speed

CPU-Z, coretemp and another benchmarking program (the name of which escapes me as I'm not at home) all show bus speed of 266MHz. Literally everything else I change in BIOS shows correctly - multipliers etc in these programs. I know I can get 3.0GHz stable as the PC was built for me by an...

Overclocking help - stubborn FSB speed

Hi folks, I'm relatively new to overclocking, I've been getting as much advice online as possible and trying small tweaks, and I'm hoping someone can help me. I currently have a middling gaming rig with: Gigabyte X38-DS5 motherboard (reported as DQ6 by CPU-Z) Intel core 2 duo e6600 cpu...

    PewDiePie

I've tried him, but it's just not my thing, I love watching funny LPs but he just gets on my tits. Oddly, a few of the LPers I like have been accused of 'being too much like Tobuscus' and I can't stand his videos either. I don't think they're bad LPers as such and they both have a lot of...

    Recommend mods/advice for a Morrowind/NWN newbie

Nice, I like that that guide stays updated, I'll give that a lash for a graphical overhaul. Looks like I'll have to obtain Mask of the Betrayer at some point too.

    Recommend mods/advice for a Morrowind/NWN newbie

So, I've just installed Morrowind GOTY edition on my PC since I got hold of a cheap copy and had only ever played if for 15 minutes about 8 years ago on a friends PC. I'm an RPG fan, and have dabbled in PC gaming on my laptop the past few years, but this is the first time I've ever owned a...

    Let's Plays: Your Opinion

I do really enjoy a god Let's Play, the problem is wading through the mountains of rubbish on youtube so I tend to stick with lparchive.org. I just find a good LP hilarious, like the Freelance Astronauts Oblivion LP with the purposely terrible mods - I still haven't found anything to match :(...

Gaming merchandise you wish they'd make

I just wish they'd make more merchandise in women's sizes. If we get anything at all, it's always a much tinier selection, and generally crappy 'one for the laydees' designs as opposed to being the same/equally cool stuff that's on the guys gear. The Deus Ex specs are pretty snazzy too, I concur.

    Poll: Girls playing as guys

I always play as my own gender if at all possible, it just feels right to me. I've noticed that games with either a fixed male protagonist, or gender-based classes (if I don't like any of the classes available to female chars)I will play them, but I tend to get bored and drop them more easily...
