If I remember correctly I took about an hour on it before just jumping in the the middle of her then using a devastator or two then jumping back out again before she starts coughing rocks at me, still took me about 1/2 an hour though (on normal)

I've used the oblivion lost mod on SOC and it makes the game vastly superior to clear sky, on top of the fact that clear sky doesnt even remotely scare you at any point compared to SOC, it just annoys you with its shite ending.

Agree to that, I remember playing for the first time on the PS2 and got stuck and very bored in those train tunnels, I've been kinda put off the first since then, but I love Blue Shift and Opposing Force, probably due to the not getting stuck bits of them.
