personally, i don't see things as addictions unless they are physically addictive such as cigarettes, because no matter how much you think you're addicted to them, in truth you could stop at any time, i personally use video games as more of an escape, if i'm stressed out, or have something...

you can't let anything consume you, be it video games, movies, tv shows, books, its really just up to every person to make their own choices. i do like the views on the community though, thats what it's all about for me.

i dont see nerd as a classification of certain behavior more of as a way of life, its become essentially a categorization of a certain subclass of our culture.
