I agree with all the above suggestions and add the original Bard's Tale trilogy, Tyrian, all the Ultima games prior to 9, AD&D Gold Box games, Neuromancer, Wing Commander Privateer, and pretty much every DOS adventure game by Lucasarts. Oh and Might and Magic: World of Xeen. Apologies in advance...
