Well it could end up being a generic third person shooter but if they worked hard on it (it would have to be a FIRST party game) and borrowed a few ideas from Splinter Cell, it could become something special. They should also work harder on the plot, maybe even go a little MEtal Gear on the game...
As a big fan of the Syphon Filter series, especially the 3 PS One games I'm very disappointed with the lack of regard Sony has shown for the franchise!
With only 1 native game for the PS 2 (focused on online co-op) and 2 "good" PSP games, Sony refused to bring the franchise to the current gen...
Having their backs against the wall I believe Fraklin would be the first to turn on the others as he's still young and doesn't want to go to jail. Trevor is the wild card but respects michael and I don't believe a man that has been in the war before would turn his back on a comrade! probably...
I believe that both types of game should have their place in the market! I love the first 3 Crash Bandicoot games and even though there were features added in the second and third games, they were still simple titles with not much complexity to them...
I enjoy playing these simple yet...

Random encounters is a wide term. If you mean those of RPG's (final fantasy or pokemon)I really dislike them as they do disrupt gameplay and get rather annoying pretty fast!
Then there are the modern random encounters (Red Dead Redemption or Skyrim) that happen when you are randomly exploring...
I don't have such a vivid example but the first Dead Space did that to me a lot. You just knew that something was always going to happen, that every corridor would hide montruous things and would scare the living crap out of you! So, yes and no. Yes i know the feeling and no, I never had an...
We are all pissed at Bioware for screwing the ending of Mass Effect 3, that's a given. But at its core, the team is still very talented and as it was mentioned before in the comments, it's the EA overlords we should be worried about!
Mass effect 3 was pushed back once and it should have been...
Its really a silly move for Sony not to allow the promotional weekend. But EA announced that the first dlc pack would come to xbox live earlier than to the Playstation Network. This can be sony´s way to "tell them" they didn´t like that move. But i guess they are only harming they´re own users...
