Poll: Killing GTA 5's protagonists (hypothetical GTA 5 endgame)

Imagine if you will that you've reached the final story mission of Rockstar's latest epic, the final in the series of heists that form the core of the story has gone off without a hitch the money is in hand but the actual get away has gone horribly wrong. Now the anti-heroes with whom you've spent countless hours have their backs either figuratively or literally against the wall and it becomes apparent that one of them will not make it out alive and its up to you to decide who bites the big one.

The scenario doesn't exactly have to play out as I've laid it out above but the question is still the same if to end the game one of them had to die who would you choose and why?


Personally i would say Trevor because based on the information Rockstar has provided so far he seems to me to be by far be most psychotic of the 3 and the one who most likely let his own greed get the better of him which in turn would lead him to stabbing Michael and Franklin in the back

I think a more interesting twist would be that they all get too greedy and turn on each other and then you get to choose, who you'll end up playing in the final confrontation between ''friends''.

That would be good potential for several different endings.

Congratulations, you missed out on literally 2/3rds of the game that way.

what? I was 10, I knew not what I was doing. all that I knew was that the jetpack cheat code was awesome, and that I had fun running around shooting at people while hovering.

That would be good potential for several different endings.

That in hindsight seems like the more likely ending...one of them taking on and failing against suicidal odds for the sake of the remaining two is would be to reminiscent of the ending of Red Dead Redemption.

you weren't the only one who did that...although I did attempt the story missions, little me got frustrated beyond belief at one early mission and my progress came to a screeching halt...until i got the full game through xbox live two years ago..only then did I beat all the story missions

Having their backs against the wall I believe Fraklin would be the first to turn on the others as he's still young and doesn't want to go to jail. Trevor is the wild card but respects michael and I don't believe a man that has been in the war before would turn his back on a comrade! probably trevor would shoot franklin and Michael (the guy who always keeps his head cool) wouldn't control himself after seing the "Kid" he sees as a son get shot and would probably shoot michael.

Michael would go to franklin who would be lying on the ground (bleeding to death) and try to help him! Franklin would apologize for having turned his back on the group and then die.

Lastly Michael would walk up to Trevor and feel sorry for himself for having lost his cool and shot his old friend. Trevor would then pass away as he forgives Michael and says that he wouldnt let any harm be done to him and that's why he shot Franklin.

Michael would be the one to survive because his a professional. You can argue that trevor might live as he has army training and such but for me, Michael would always live and Franklin would always die.

Ps - the game can't end well or everyone will be giving Rockstar a hard time for having "Bad" characters winning in the end. If you think back, Tommy Vercetti ended up rich and powerfull but lost a friend (Lance) and CJ was betrayed by an old friend... Even Niko didn't have a "happy" ending. Something bad will happend in the end of GTA V, that's almost for sure. I want this game!

ya know I can see it playing out like that with Franklin and him turning against the former two when push comes to shove, despite Michael saying Franklin is the son he wished he had. But I can also see Trevor despite his past relationship with Michael turning him because he deeply resents the fact that he ended up in a back water crap-hole while Michael got to live the 'good life' under FIB protection. And beyond that though you do make a good point in refering back to past GTA endgames. Which is why I made the thread as I can see at-least one of the three dying before the end credits which is to say nothing of the potential for their criminal actions to come back and hurt NPC's close to them (Michael's family, Franklin's dog or his girlfriend or gangbanger buddy)
