The Heroes of Newerth forums are a bit backwards and don't allow bbcode in signatures. I saw this link in someone's signature and i had to copy/paste it to see what the mod was about. Incidentally, quite disappointing.
The spammers are cashing in on this one. i'm recieving a torrent of phishing emails pretending to be from blizzard, asking me to verify my battle.net account by going to their pretend site and entering my password. presumably so i don't miss out on the beta invite that is assuredly waiting for...
uk here. my isp is talktalk. vI have a "4 meg connection" which translates to a download speed of 350-450 kilobytes per second. below the global average it seems, but for the most part its fast enough for anything i ever do
something to remember though is that it's all regional. my speed...
this is pretty interesting. It shows more than anything that the ability is just plain buggy.
Water doesn't seem to react properly when they move stuff around, creating hard-edged pieces of it not flowing like it should. all the blocks floating in mid air were weird too, and they must be...
I only encountered one enderman, ever. It was early morning and it was on fire.
I looked at it. It looked at me. I looked to the side. It teleported up to my face then it fell over and died from its burns.
not the scariest of experiences
No cover. Because real men don't need cover, right?
They also don't need a W key. because real men spend all their time running backwards.
Serious sam is the master of not tripping over as he backpedals
I'm disappointed in this thread. I was hoping for specific places, not generic categories. I will name specific places anyway. In no particular order:
1. Skies of Arcadia: The overworld.
This game was set in a massive world of sky islands with apparently no ground. The entire world is...
Oh and Watchmen. I've not read the comic personally, but my research about it indicates a lot of confusing crap about a giant tentacled alien. The Film cuts that and works better with existing characters, so the plot eventually arrives at the same conclusion, but in a different way that doesn't...
Stephen King's The Mist (movie is just called The Mist)
A really great horror film about monsters.
The book just sort of stopped, with an inconclusive sequel-enabling ending.
The film on the other hand, ties things up neatly with what has the be the funniest twist i've seen in ages. in a...
ohh yes torchlight. Such an unbalanced game. iirc each class had about one ability which was so pointlessly good that you stopped levelling anything else, and ideally planned your build to only spend points on it.
The alchemist had his giant face melty death beam, and the vanquisher had that...
I think half of the replies in this thread are silly. I don't think something fits the definition of "overpowered" if you have to grind for 40 hours to unlock it, or if you only get it after finishing the game. Things like that aren't overpowered. They're sufficiently powered for the effort...
Psi Ops: The mindgate conspiracy.
The bad part was reaching the end of this awesome game, only to find a cliffhanger ending that leaves everything unexplained.
But the worst part of all, was finding out afterwards that there will never be a sequel because it didn't sell enough, so the...
I have to strongly recommend this. Programming is the hardest part. You'd have a far easier time getting your idea made if you can do that. If all you bring to a team is your ideas, it gives the impression you're not taking things seriously and expecting others to do the work.
Mr Lemon, Shining Force II.It's one of those fights where even if you win, he goes "oh but I have orders to take you alive, I can't let you leave. Guards get them!" and then you end up in prison anyways
There was also a fight in Skies of Arcadia Legends with on e of the main bad guys in...
